|Got in on the first day this time :DHeliodor is the name used to describe two colors of beryl, the first (only referred to a heliodor, see on: dress) is a somewhat light yellowish green, whereas the other (also known as golden beryl, see on: sleeves/embroidery) is a deep yellow. Additionally, the sleeves are sheer because heliodor (like most type of beryl) is very transparent. But wait, there's more~~ Some of the best heliodor in the world is mined in Ukraine, so I took inspiration from traditional Ukrainian costume. I mainly incorporated two key elements of Ukrainian folk dress, those being the sleeve shape & use of embroidery. Since beryl gems form hexagonally, most of the embroidery is in the shape of hexagons. But look closely around the waist—that's heliodor's chemical formula, Be3 Al2 Si O6!Don't forget to crown to vote for us! HUGE thanks to all who crowned last week!
