Times of Day: Daytime
The handsome Titan, crowned with the shining aureole of the Sun, giving light both to gods and men, when he drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day to earth-circling Oceanus and through the world-ocean returned to the East at night.
The lordly Helios, who is like the deathless gods, is the glowing guardian of oaths and the god of gift of sight.
The young and tireless Helios is a son of Titans Hyperion and Theia, and brother of Selene (moon) and Eos (dawn) and father of many glorious children, as Kirke ("to secure with rings") and Pasiphae ("wide-shining"), both goddesses of sorcery.
