|For @ubetablieveit 's Wedding Shoppe contest, round 7! I saw it was open to newcomers, and loved the theme - a gown for a breast cancer survivor, who's also looking for an alternative to a wig.
I went with a more traditional gown - the long lacy sleeves hide any pic lines or scarring from chemo, while the draping fabric and curving neckline of the bodice could help disguise any post-mastectomy unevenness or padding.
For the headdress and veil, I modeled it after the 1920s -style wedding cap: lots of folded chiffon and silk, with a falling sheer veil. Clusters of flowers, silvery leaves and pearls frame the face, and make the lack of hair less obvious!
Lots of blush pink in the trims and flowers, for breast cancer awareness. <3
