| Princess Jasmine was a wild child when she was young and this calmed only slightly in her adolescence, but her Father the Sultan was sure that she'd settle down eventually. All changed when her father was the victim of an assassin. Grief stricken Jasmine sought council from her father's Chief adviser Jafar. Who told her the only way to bring her father back was by making a wish, using a magic lamp. Jasmine made the dangerous trek to the cave of wonders and found the lamp, she made the wish Jafar had told her to make. "I wish to have all the power of the lamp." The lamp obeyed, granting her phenomenal cosmic power, but it also imprisoned her as the lamp's genie. Jafar's first wished that no one aside from him would remember the Sultan and his daughter Jasmine. The second that he was recognised as the true Sultan by all. His third wish was for a long and healthy life. When he was done he left Jasmine in the cave all alone. It would be many years before anyone would rediscover the lamp. |
