The night eventually chosen for Istharé and Ooneil's wedding was in no way auspicious or highly significant. Their anniversary date would have no meaning for anyone but the two of them, and that was fine. After all, who else was concerned?
In general, Fae marriage ceremonies were small, intimate unions, consisting of no more than an exchange of secret names and token gifts before a witness from each family and an officiating party. In this case, the bride and groom were joined by Queen Lylith herself, in front of Elora and Fatine, a Lyllaen tavern keeper in the mortal realm and some sort of cousin of Ooneil's. She was a broad minded and independent spirit, and the qualms of his immediate relatives didn't bother her, fortunately.
Ooneil, or Anael, gave Istharé a black zirconium metal sickle moon for her staff. Sharinam gave him a gem cut from the same red crystal that tipped it.
