|"Father said there was nothing for us back home." I say. "So, you are Asmund of nothing?" Carr asks me. I stare at him for a bit but then hear something I do not expect. "Ekki?". It is the Erland boy, his accent is strange and I do not understand what he asks, but I then realize he is asking 'nothing' in our language. - kind of an idea of what I want to write at some point. It's a story of a kid, Asmund, and his dad, Haldor. They leave their home after Asmunds mother dies and they get taken in by vikings. The vikings are carrying two English speakers, and there's a huge language barrier between the boy, who they call Erland, and the boys mother, who they call Astrid, and the vikings as they can't speak each others languages. But most of the plot centers on fimbulwiter and Asmunds dread of the end of the world. A lot of god talk and stuff. Also, Asmund is a weird kid, I'll make something with him tomorrow, that's a lot better, it's just getting super late and I wanted to get this out.
