|For this week's challenge, I was assigned the planet Saturn, best known for its beautiful ring system that consists of nine continuous main rings and three discontinuous arcs, composed mostly of ice particles with a smaller amount of rocky debris and dust. (If you count there are 12 beaded "rings" and a dark section that represents the gap in the rings where larger moonlets orbit.) Saturn is a gas giant, with a core of iron-nickel and rock (her bodice), and having a pale yellow color due to ammonia crystals in its upper atmosphere. Wind speeds on Saturn can reach 1,800 km/h (500 m/s), making the planet itself generally bland and featureless (so I gave her a standard "post-op" nose, although I can't recall who to credit). If you like what you see, please remember to vote with crowns! Thanks!!!
