There are four "classes" of folk in this kingdom i have been writing about.
Clothing for each class:
Royals: The current royal family consists of five people: The king, Adalhelm, the queen, Abeline, the princess, Sieren, and the twin princes, Jay and Jarvis. Royals dress extravagantly, and are one of the two classes that are allowed to wear their hair down, along with Nobles. Their extravagance is shown in large, ornate crowns, fancy earrings and necklaces, jewels draped around their mermaid tails, and pierced faces (in the kings case). Deep, royal colors such as dark red, maroon, purple, blue, and dark greens are reserved for this class and for some knights, though the princess prefers lighter colors such as white and bright red, along with silver, and the princes dont care.
Nobles: Nobles consist of royal advisors, knights and guards, people born into high class, those who have done a great service to the royal family, and other people of that nature. They dress almost as fancy as the royal family, jeweled hair pieces, beautiful dresses and clothing, armor made of precious metals, heavy jewelry, but the ablity to get any form of piercings is restricted to royal advisors and knights. Most nobles may be either humanoid or mermaid. They dress in just about any color.
Working/Middle Class: Working class people are usually cooks, tailors, blacksmiths, and people of that nature. They dress modestly, with toned down shades and mostly earthy colors. They still wear jewelry, but usually just necklaces or bracelets. They do a good deal of manual labor, be them male or female, so most wear thick gloves. Most women have either short hair (pixie cuts/short bobs are VERY common) or hair that is easy to pull up. Something to note: The majority of Middle class folk are humanoid. The few that are mermaids work in the castle.
Outcasts: As the class-name implies, theyre outcasts, poor folk who do shady things to get along. There isnt much to note about their clothing, just that they are EXTREMELY dirty and ruined most of the time.
(More to be added when i get ideas.)
