He worked in praivte owned book store.
Hired on cause his anut was friends with the old lady that owned it.
He wasnt one of those guys that just needed a job, so i'll take what i can get guys.
He actaully really liked books. Almost all books. But teenage books.
He thought they were mindless, and a bore.
It takes almost no b.rain power to understand.
Most of time when he was working, he's layed back behind the counter.
With his music on low, and a thick book in fornt of his face.
Gone into the books world.
Almost like deep meditation.
But that damn mind chatter
The bell goes off, and gives him a firm jerk out of the book.
A girl in a wheelchair came into the shop.
She looked around. Then looked at him.
He looked at her.
She wheeled off into the books, looking side to side at the selction.
Then looked back, thinking she was being rude.
He went back to his book, but aware she was there.
After awhile, about 40 minutes. She was ready to buy.
Slowly, and as graceful as she could, she wheeled up to the desk, wanting to let him know she was ready.
She placed them on the desk.
He look out from behind, and marked his place.
She was buying gardener guide, books about flowers, and herbs.
" The books here are amazing! I might be back."
He said nothing and just rang her up.
She digged around in her hobo bag. Pulled out a wallet, with a pray mantis holding a star.
He kinda gave her a half smile, bagged her books, and gave her change.
She said with a slight hip in her voice, and started towards the door.
He hesitated for a second,
"Let me get that for you!"
Run out from behind the desk at the door! Just before her hand could touch the door, his was there.
She wheeled out into the sunlight. The rays made her hair shine like dew on fresh grass in the morning, and her face glowed like she was Alectrona herself. She tured to him.
With a bliss smile on her face.
He was in state of aw at her. Almost didnt hear what she said.
"Your welcome. Come back soon"
His tone said it like he wanted her to come back.
And she understood, Giggled and wheeled away.
He tried to go back to his book.
He really did.
But that damn mind chatter....
